Sephora Hong Kong Haul
November 25, 2008God. My wallet was damaged again for having layovers over Hong Kong. Everytime I think of the city, I no longer think about the wanton that I like from Kowloon– hence it’s Sephora! It’s beginning to get a bit colder over HKG. 18 degrees makes my skin drier and my lips getting chapped. Must always bring Chapstick and petroleum jelly though. Anyway I completely forgot about my two coats at home so I was surprised when I opened my luggage when I saw only one cashmere sweater. That’s so awful. Comparing it to two coats that would make me feel toasty while walking around the city. Now I’ve kept a promise that those two will never leave my suitcase ever. Then again thank you to Maria who let me borrow her extra one.
Benefit Primpcess Kit - Gotta love the Eye Bright that comes with it.
NARS Blush in Orgasm
L’occitane Shea Butter Hand Creme - Every jetsetter must definitely have this one. You’ll just love the buttery texture and the moisture that you need on your hands. I think this is my fifth tube already.
And lastly, L’occitane’s Almond Supple Skin Oil - I like this better than the Olive one from The Body Shop though. It doesn’t leave a sticky feeling and it’s bearable if you’re in a tropical country. I love using this after having a long hot shower– spritzing it all over my body and letting it set for two minutes or so. It smells kind of sweet, just like any normal almond oil and doesn’t leave a funny smell. Two thumbs up for this one. I think it’s better to use after having a long hot bubble soak in the tub for after having a very long day.
Which reminds me of unpacking some of my used clothes and throw them in all in the laundry. Need to get a few drawers too because two of my make up storage containers are getting full. I need to get rid of some of the stuff that I don’t use anymore. Ah got lots of things to do. Toodles.
I know I’m late, but still!
November 8, 2008I only would go to Spektra to read once in a while then I saw this thread. That would be so exciting! I wonder if the packaging would be pink or the classic Hello Kitty red? I just can’t wait!
So I’ve been busy (again) with work and all. Good thing I got to chance to watch and passed by ETC last night and saw the Project Runway Philippines Finale Part 1. As a tradition, the three remaining finalists would go to their lovely homes and complete their collection for the fashion show. Joji Loren visited them and took a peek on their works. But one of the most suprising part was when the three met Teresa and announced that they will make a men’s wear, so they will have a male model for the final show. Veejay was the most surprised one because he doesn’t know how to make men’s clothes. That would be a real challenge for him. Anyway I like him. I like how he knows on how to dress a woman. I like Philip’s tailoring skills too. That would be an advantage of him. And Aries would need to tone down a bit on his designs. Some of it are just all over the place. One piece could be so confusing. I cannot wait for next week.
Annnnd, auditions for the second season is already on sched! Click here to go the PRP’s website and get updated.
Project Runway Philippines Season 2 Auditions Schedule
- November 22 - SM Makati
- December 7 - SM North Edsa
- December 12 - SM Megamall
I can really say. This reality show is quite more successful than Philippine’s Next Top Model. I mean, the only print that I saw with the winner was in back issue of a magazine that featured her, and that’s it. I cannot even remember her name.
Other than that, I finally got my Alexander McQueen embossed patent wallet that I’ve always wanted. It has two colors, black, and I got myself with the burgundy one. And I promise not to stash some of my coins or change in here if I am in a hurry. That last one that I had with a similar wallet, it just bulged up and completely ruined the zipper.
Available at HarveyNichols.net for £195.00
Got to go and fix this damn jetlag. Toodles!
Packing must haves.
November 1, 2008Wow, these past two weeks was quite stressful. Flying from here and there, I literally do not have the time to unpack some of my stuff. Other than that, I can’t even remember when I even organized my luggages again. Cabin crew would never unpack, even on their long vacays. So I really had a better idea to organize my things. The more organized, the more that I can remember where I placed what. Because I would really end up buying a new one of that thing that would be missing, then later on the week, would find out that I have tons of it. One example, jars and jars or petroleum jelly. I found one in my purse, my cosmetic bag, toiletry kit, even inside the trunk in my car. So, I decided to buy sets of organizing stuff that I found online. Calling myself a pack rat literally, I bought stuff here in eBags. I love eBags!
eBags’ Value Set: Packing Cubes + Pack-It-Flat + Shoe Sleeves
It has 3 packing cubes. The larger one is for my shirts, shorts, some pants, pajamas, camis, sweaters, knits, blouses. (Tip: You can roll your clothes and stick them all in while packing. It saves space too.) The medium one has all of my underwear, socks, towels. And the small one has my socks, hoisery, gloves, scarves. I do not have a problem with my uniform because we were all issued with garment bags so it’s okay.
The Pack-It Flat is my toiletry kit. Shampoo, conditioner, facial wash, make-up removers, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, body lotion, body wash and loofah, moisturizers, alcohol, foot scrub and shaver. It also has a hook when the flap is opened, so you can hang it everywhere.
The third one, shoe sleeves. It comes with two, so I think I need more so I bought two of it individually for only $14.99. I’m a pack rat, so sometimes I would bring four types of shoes with me. Hehe.
Each set would come with pink, red, black, green and blue. I got mine in pink. Other than that, I also got some cubes for my other things. Like my hairdryer, brushes, hair ties, hair pins and hair spray.
My must haves:
- hairdryer - Do not trust that every hotel has one.
- clear nail polish - Place a coat or two for every week on your colored nail polish to prevent from chipping and giving it some extra shine. Plus, if you have a ran in your stocking, dab a few onto the ran to minimize fraying.
- an umbrella - Hello, London! Hello, Paris!
- petroleum jelly - To moisturize chapped lip and skin, to remove stubborn mascara, and drying skin around your nails. Also as a lubricant for the wheels in your luggage. Need to be reisssued I must say hehe.
- eye mask - I got one from Bath and Body. Need to shut the light out for jetlags.
- socks - Cold feet!
- hand sanitizer
- hair conditioner - The air inside the cabin would dry your skin, plus your scalp. It’s humid, so it would really dry your hair too. A nice conditioner would help.
Nobody wants clutter anymore in their luggages, so you do not have to search in every pocket of your bag. Organize when you need to so it will take you less of your time in finding stuff. Next on my list would be that cute roll-up jewelry bag, so I don’t have to place them in some pouch bags. And I need a smaller cosmetic bag, so I can literally cut down my make-up binging.
So yesterday was Halloween, and today it’s the first day of November, and tomorrow everyone here in our country is celebrating All Souls’ Day. After this, I would be brave enough to watch Mirrors at ten in the evening. Wish me luck.
My new bestfriends.
October 18, 2008So I’m back from some crazy flights these past few days. My body clock’s going crazy and now I’m installing super dark curtains in my room to block the light. Anyway I found new items to travel with me. Even if I am a flight attendant, it doesn’t mean that I do not have a life. I can basically travel and be a passenger too– having free tickets to boot because of the benefits from the airline. Yay! So during my regional hopping days, I found a few things that I fell inlove with.
Luxurious Lambie Collection from Bath and Body Works
The Eye Mask is divine. It’s so soft and it’s great for sensitive skin like mine. I really could sleep like a baby inside the cabin. It also has those cute eyelashes mimicing a lamb’s! Reminds me of the eye mask that Audrey Hepburn used in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”.
It doesn’t mean that I do not trust an airline’s blanket whenever a flight attendant hands me one. You’ll just never know where they came from. So if I’m travelling– by plane or land, I bring my own blankie in my trolley. This Lambie blankie is so soft. Just think of a baby blankie. TIP: Try spraying some of your aromatherapy oil to your fave travel blankie. Would really help you feel relaxed the whole trip. My fave is lavender.
Then after your blankie, a pillow should not be missed. This is not exactly a pillow but you can use it as one. It’s a plush that is so soft. Again, think, baby stuff. Great for girls with sensitive skin like me.
And no, this one’s not for the cabin. I use this in hotel rooms, even at home. They’re so cute! I even got the black one. Great for those uber tired feet– after having a warm bath.
Soooo soffft socks. Need I say more?
When travelling, always think that you might not be in a business or first class. Some airlines wouldn’t give out blankets, pillows, socks and eye masks these days. Think cross-cutting. So you got to pay more to have more of these kits for your 12 hour flight. So you’d better bring something like these before hopping on a plane. You’ll never go wrong, you can even use them in a hotel if you do not like those itchy hotel slippahs.
Kylie Minogue Asian Tour
October 13, 2008When I read about her upcoming Asian tour, I was so excited that she might come in Manila. Kylie cancelled her concert here a few years ago because of her cancer way back.
I read this from a forum somewhere and I’m planning to see her– that IS if I HAVE time though. Having my crazy schedule for this month is a total nightmare.
“After wowing European audiences with a tour running through August, Australian pop star Kylie Minogue will open her Asian Kylie “X” tour in November.
The tour will kick off in Singapore on November 25, and head to Hong Kong on November 27, according to MTV Asia’s Web site.
The showgirl will then go to Shanghai’s Hongkou Stadium on November 29, the Shanghai-based News Times reported.
The tour will be a huge production with a budget of more than 100 million yuan (US$14.66 million), the report said.
“X,” released in 2007, is the tenth album from Minogue, a breast cancer survivor.

So when could I have the chance to see Kylie? Too bad.
Anyway I’m having a bad cold now. It’s not like a having a flu or something that might get me on sick leave or so. I can fly as long as I can handle the pressure– keeping myself tortured because of earache. Now I need to get some rest and drink plenty of water plus, take lots of Vitamin C. Ciao!
Why Are You Still Calling Me?
October 7, 2008Years had past. We forgave. We forget. Things have changed. Everything’s different now.
My life was like an journey when I realized that we could never be together. Who’s fault? Not mine, and hopefully it was not yours. I guess you were just lost. Longing for something that you cannot even have. Looking for something that you cannot even find. Probably you were just lost. Lost somewhere that realizing nobody’s there for you. Or that you think, that your special someone will always be there for you. But the years proved them wrong. Though you think that everything will be okay because you think that in time, everything will be alright. You think that in the long end, you will be in a happy place with the happy people around you, have a perfect, normal, happy life. Like what I’ve said. Time proved everything wrong. Everything will change. For a reason? Maybe not. Because people make this reasons, for just something to happen.
I appreciate that you still think of me. Telling me on how you miss me– on how I sound when I’m laughing, or even making you laugh. I appreciate that you still know my weaknesses in some way. Making me feel that I’m truly missed.
Still I bet, you do not have and idea on how I cried at nights, when I was longing for you. When I was sending signals that I needed you to be there by my side. You had no idea what would make me happy. Because you were never there.
Nonetheless, I do not have to say it, shout it, or let the whole world know that I hated you. Quickly you realized that you were forgiven. Probably that’s why you are still calling. I know why you are still doing this. I know that you need someone who will actually listen to your rants, heartaches, everything that we could talk about under the sun. And in the long run, you would probably realize that I am the one who will always be there, to listen.
I have moved on now. It’s almost like three years of a journey of not thinking about you. I have my life back. Someone is actually now waiting for me to get home, and asking me if I had my dinner, and talk to me about everything. Someone who I could share my pint of cookie’s and cream while watching dvd. Someone who could get mad if forget to take my vitamins. Someone who could even go with me to the mall, stroll there for the whole day just for looking for one item that I’ve been ranting. Someone who could actually cry with me. And someone who would make me feel that he needs me for a lifetime.
I’m praying for you. Praying that you could find the perfect way to happiness. Wishing you all the best that life has to offer. If you do need someone who could listen, you know that I am still here. I will always be here to pick up the phone in the middle of the night and we could talk about everything. But I may not be always there for you– because I have my life back. Hopefully you could have yours.
Take care. Take lots of care. And I wish you the best.
Snippet: "You Know You’re A Flight Attendant If…"

1. You can eat a 4 course meal standing at the kitchen counter - I can really do this, sometimes my mother thinks something’s wrong with me. 2. You search for a button to flush the toilet |
Sunday Schmunday.
Feels great to be at home on a Sunday. I’ve been missing this a lot. Catching up with my family, friends, and have time to clean/organize my room like what I’ve been doing before when I was in school. Waking up with no alarm by my bedside, smelling the freshly cooked crunchy bacon, and hearing my little cousins’ laughter outside playing. Had a biiiiiiiiig breakfast with bacon, eggs, frenchtoast and more kaya to death.
Ahh loving the weather. More like London/Baguio-esque type of weather. Still my number one enemy would be chapped lips and dry skin, as usual. And if I would have chapping lips, I would really have a nasty, icky chapped lips. So for every single damn day, I never forget to moisturize, even on a hot day. My mom taught me this when I was still twelve years old. So imagine at high school, I’ve been always conscious about my skin when it comes to dryness. I do really have a dry to sensitive skin so I cannot use everything that would keep my skin moist and not irritated.
I use Nivea Visage Sensitive Balance Day Care Creme.
Product Action:
NIVEA VISAGE Sensitive Balance Day Care is a skin friendly moisturiser specifically developed for sensitive reactive skins. Used regularly, it provides instant and long-term relief for your skin and enhances its natural resistance to everyday external influences:
- The highly compatible formula is skin pH-neutral and free of fragrances, colourants and alcohol.
- Enriched with Licorine, a very effective natural ingredient, it quickly calms skin irritations and visibly reduces red areas.
- A Balancing Complex strengthens the natural resistance of the skin to harmful external factors and reduces its sensitivity and irritability for long lasting relief.
- The nourishing formula provides the skin with intensive moisture.
- The special NIVEA VISAGE UVA/UVB protection (SPF
protects sensitive skins from damaging UVA/UVB rays.
Result:
Your skin is relieved from tightness and blushing, for a long lastingly healthy looking and well-balanced skin.
I always use this in the morning after shower, a few minutes before applying primer for my make-up - right after removing my make-up before going to bed. I do not feel any tightness on my face like other moisturizers would do. And due to extra dryness caused by flying/humid weather on board, my skin around my eyes would tend to dry at times, making my make-up a little too cakey. That’s why before putting make-up and after removing it, I always use Olay Total Effects Eye Creme.
I love it cause it’s light and it doesn’t sting. Plus the little shimmer that leaves my skin.
And for chapped lips, the ever handy-dandy all around Vaseline Petroleum Jelly.
Everybody around the world loves this magic gooey stuff. Who doesn’t?
For the meantime, let me organize my room again. Toodles.
Turquiose and Purple Eyeshadow
October 3, 2008I’ve been really addicted to watching tutorials on Youtube about applying colorful eyeshadows that I never even thought other colors could really match. I subscribed to this channel on how she applies make-up, and her make-up collection - and I love her accent too!
Okay I’m off for a flight in a few hours. I really like the weather yesterday and I can see that we have clear skies in Manila today. Hopefull there would be no more mighty turbulence this evening. Had already a couple of bruises since last week.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Rainy day = my chocolate craving attacks.
October 1, 2008I’ve recently found out that my supply of hot cocoa and Toblerone in the fridge are missing. Probably my little cousins took it since it’s a holiday today so there’s no school, so they are here to bug me. Anyway I got so bored so I went online to check some new recipes. Out of nowhere, I saw something about microwave cakes. I’ve tried it one with the Hello Kitty Microwave Cake Mix that is no good, that even a three year old can do. Raided the kitchen and thankfully saw some of the ingredients and whipped it in no time.
NEW BLOG. NEW HOME.
From transferring to one blogsite to another, hopefully I could call this one my home.
So it’s almost 85 days `til Christmas. Must save moolah for my inaanaks!
